The Repair Proces
Sanding
The surface is prepared by sanding, which is done to ensure the blade is clean and smooth, and that the surface has the roughness needed to get the optimal adhesiveness.
Cleaning
Afterwards the surface is cleaned. The blade is cleaned with isopropyl alcohol to remove the remaining dust, grease and water from the surface.
LEP Application
Lastly, a long lasting leading edge protection (LEP) is applied. The robot controls the application of LEP based on predefined parameters. The parameters are used during the complete execution and guarantee a constant and uniform work method, which again ensures the quality.
Additional services
LPS
Rope Robotics offer a LPS-solution to minimize the risk of damage caused by lightning strikes. The solution is a lightning protection system conductivity testing.
Filler Application
To ensure a high quality the application on filler is offered when leading edge is heavily eroded.
Painting
The spray topcoat can be applied to the leading edge or to spot repair.
